‘CC’ The Computacenter Fire Dog

‘CC’ The Computacenter Fire DogFor the last six years, Computacenter have been working with the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to support the Fire Investigation Dog Programme. Fire investigation dogs are used for their speed and accuracy and are proving very successful in their work. There are currently 14 dog teams across the whole of the UK. Fire investigation officers use the dogs to assist in determining the cause and origin of fires - whether deliberate or accidental. The dogs are trained to sniff out traces of ignitable liquids such as petrol, paraffin and lighter fluid, which can remain present even after the most severe fire.

Our first sponsored fire dog, Browza, has now retired and become his handler’s pet! After running a company-wide competition, we have named the new fire dog ‘CC’. CC is a black labrador and is now fully trained and has taken over Browza's post.
