Programme Overview
Computacenter’s UK operation is seeking six exceptionally talented individuals who possess the potential and drive to become its highest performing sales Account Managers, and business leaders of the future. Selected by and working under the direct sponsorship of Computacenter’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mike Norris, the successful six candidates will begin an intensive 18-month sales and business acceleration programme, covering the company, its industry, skills, relationships, customers and competitors. For the duration of the programme, the six candidates will benefit from one-to-one coaching, guidance and support from Computacenter’s most successful sales leaders, its Client Directors.
On successful completion of the programme, candidates will be rewarded with a promotion to become a Key Account Manager, working in one of Computacenter’s vertically-aligned Customer Sectors. In this role, the candidates will become the face of Computacenter to some of its largest and most strategic clients.
Computacenter expects successful candidates’ earnings to exceed £70k in their first full year as an Account Manager, having completed the 18 month programme. Within 5 years as an Account Manager, candidates can reach the highest levels of sales performance – for example; in 2009, the top performing Account Manager earned in excess of £400k and the top five Account Managers earned, on average, in excess of £200k each. Candidates will be expected to continue to press for ever-greater performance and, after five years, will have the opportunity to compete for a role as one of Computacenter’s Client Directors.
The selection process
Computacenter invites candidates to apply by submitting their CV via the computacenter.com website. The most suitable candidates will be invited to an interview with one of Computacenter’s Client Directors. The most impressive interviewees will be invited to attend one of two overnight assessment events, hosted by Computacenter’s Group Chief Executive Officer. At the assessment events, candidates will be invited to participate in a range of team and individual activities that test their skills, knowledge, presentation and potential to the limit.
The highest performing candidates at each assessment event will be offered a place on Computacenter’s sales acceleration programme as Sales Associates; starting salary in this role is £25000, £2500 bonus for year 1, plus a car or allowance and access to an excellent suite of flexible benefits.
